Beakers are functional ware used for milk or orange juice. Some people have purchased the tall beakers to drink beer. 

I create pieces of artwork that positively enhance the users day. whether they encourage, inspire, stimulate, or decorate, they no longer exist as a benign object.  

All my handmade Beakers are slip cast. They are bisque-fired at 1000°c, glazed and fired for a second time at about 1220 °c (cone 6). I have a developed a wide selection of dipping glazes. 

After the glaze firing the ceramic decals are applied and the mugs are re-fired to 900 °c. The decals are then dishwasher safe and UV resistant, Food-safe and microwave-safe.

Each part of this intricate process is done by hand.
